What we would like you to know…
Before your appointment:
- Make sure you have eaten within 4 hours of your appointment.
- Do not drink alcohol 24 hours before your appointment.
- Do not come to your appointment under the influence.
- Make sure you drink plenty of water; the more hydrated you are, the better the ink goes in.
- If you have a large amount of hair in the area you are planning to get tattooed, it would greatly help us if you shaved before you come.
- Make sure to wear clothing that will allow access to the area being tattooed. Button-down shirts or zip-up hoodies are great for back or chest pieces.
During your appointment:
- Your artist wants you to be as comfortable as you can. Let us know what we can do to help.
- Let them know if you need any water, snacks, or candy.
- If you need to use the restroom during your appointment, just let us know.
- We are always happy to move the stencil, so don’t hesitate to ask.
- If you would like a silent (no talking) appointment, just let your artist know.
- Need a music change, no problem.
- Need to eat something, you got it.
After your appointment:
- Make sure to follow your artist's aftercare instructions.
- Healing a tattoo is a personal journey, and each artist may have their own way. They will give you their instructions.
- We offer Recovery Derm and traditional healing
- Below is our standard aftercare, which you may follow if you would like.
- -For Recovery Derm
- Leave your first piece of film on for 24 hours.
- After 24 hours, remove the film and wash the tattoo with warm water and antibacterial soap. Rise with clean water. Pat the tattoo dry with a paper towel. (Do not use a cloth towel, as it can leave bacteria behind.) Allow to air dry for 5 mins. Apply the new piece of film over the tattoo. Remove after 5 to 7 days. Wash and keep protected with lotion until fully healed.
- -For Traditional healing
- Remove the plastic wrap or bandage after 3 hours. Wash the tattoo with antibacterial soap and warm water. Rise with clean water. Pat the tattoo dry with a paper towel. (Do not use a cloth towel, as it can leave bacteria behind.) Apply a thin layer of ointment. Do this 3 times a day for 3 days. Then switch to putting lotion on the tattoo instead of ointment. After a week, continue to keep it clean and moisturized. There is no need to wash multiple times a day.
